Winters would be cold
without the warm memories
of the seasons past
Winter is on my head, but eternal spring is in my heart.
Victor Hugo (1802 - 1885)
Thank you for the wonderful insights on my last post,
The Alternative to Resolutions. This week has been another to surprise me as a result of using my new method. Today, I realized that I hadn't done anything in the family/friend realm, so I continued gathering items for packages I am preparing for a handful of my family members. I am sending them something that is extra special to me.....something I have yet to share here with you, but I will very soon.
This weekend, I hope to start on a new project that I have been giving much consideration to. My ideas are flowing so freely right now, although that can be a bit overwhelming. For now, I have been writing them down so that I can revisit them when I am in the right frame of mind. I know my list makers are with me.....there were quite a few of them in the comments on my last post. It's no surprise, lists are just plain awesome! I have to write everything down or else I will forget. Heck, sometimes I will forget by the time I find a pen and scrap of paper! It's bad.
You won't find a Cody post this week. He was busy playing with some new tools. On the upside, it looks like I will have some new cube shelves in my future ;)
Anyway, I hope you have a wonderfully creative weekend and you find many things to maintain your attention and pique your interests. Be sure to return at the beginning of the week for a debut and giveaway!!

ReplyDeleteAs always, love your photo and haiku....maybe once you have those cube shelves you can post a photo! My boyfriend and I are in the process of buying a house and I would love some of those for the office!
ReplyDeleteYou know what's the worst? When you have an AWESOME idea, but you're in the shower! Pen, paper, not around - Arrrrgh! :)

ReplyDeleteIt's been said by the other comments, but that was beautiful.

ReplyDeletePretty. I should put "be creative" on my own list. Creativity nurtures the soul and sometimes it's hard to remember to do it...

Love the photo. Was that natural light, blue light, a filter, or the magic of PhotoShop that got you the blue color?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the photo and the sentiment that our memories of seasons past can get us through cold winters. So true.
ReplyDeleteThat is so lovely! That quote also reminded me of the one from Affair to Remember - "Winter is cold for those with no warm memories" or something like that. :) Hope you have a great weekend~
ReplyDeleteDelicate & gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI am excited the list is working for you.
ReplyDeleteYou also have me intrigued about the debut and giveaway.

ReplyDeletebeautiful shot and haiku. I love the blues.
ReplyDeleteDo you get much snow where you are?... Lovely winter photos but no snow. I am jealous :-D
ReplyDeleteThis picture is gorgeous and the quote is lovely and so true!! I always tell myself that when I am wanting winter to be done with. Without the hot summer, lovely green spring and lazy autumn I wouldn't appreciate the cold crisp snowy winter! (I just wish it were a few weeks shorter, lol)
ReplyDeleteThis is so very true. It's interesting how we bring the past into the present if only to endure--in the hope of soon blossoming!
ReplyDeleteexcellent photo!
ReplyDeletephot and words are really nice!
ReplyDeletethe forgetting before you find a pen to write it down..sounds familiar...
cannot wait for your next image of beauty!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for stopping by my blog and for taking the time to care the way you did. I did go to the hospital and I am being treated. My neck is hurting very badly today. They gave me six injections to ease the hurt and the tension.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is beautiful. I will be returning to enjoy this space more often.
Looking forward to getting to know you better.
