Things I Love Holiday Giveaway Hosted by Boone NC Photographer Wayfaring Wanderer

I'm super excited about the launch of my new wedding photography website, so to celebrate I thought it would be fun to do a giveaway! If you haven't checked out my new online space, I invite you to visit and take a look around!

I've hosted a few family photography session giveaways over the last couple of months which have been great. It gave me the opportunity to photograph some awesome folks who are excited to use their new family photos for Christmas gifts this year. With that being said, I wanted to do something for the "friends of Wayfaring Wanderer" that don't necessarily live in the Boone, NC area.

To continue the spirit of giving, I am hosting a holiday giveaway that includes some of my favorite things. You know, because I want to be like Oprah. So, for the next week I'll be featuring four "Things I Love" that you will have a chance to WIN!

1. Alex and Ani Feather Charm Bangle

I was walking through the mall one day on the hunt for sweater leggings when an advertisement in front of a fancy jewelry store caught my eye. On a whim, I decided to go in and check out the display they were promoting. Normally, this wouldn't be the type of store I would step foot in but something about this particular brand/product captured my attention. Immediately, I was draw to their Feather Charm Bangle in the Rafaellan Silver Finish. I asked the lady at the counter to pull one out for me to try on and once I did, I didn't want to take it off. Needless to say, it came home with me that day and I've been wearing it non-stop since then!

They have so many other symbols, too, and the bracelets are expandable so they'll fit wrists of all sizes. I have a few others I'd like to collect!


2. Leather Journal Hand-Printed by In Blue Handmade

One thing that I absolutely love and always have with me is a journal or notebook of some sort. It's pretty ridiculous how many empty books I have waiting to be used—I like to fill them up before starting a new one—yet I still buy them frequently. Something that I have been on the hunt for, though, is a leather-bound book that I could reuse and refill with empty pages. I was thrilled when I stumbled upon In Blue Handmade's booth at the LEAF Music Festival this past fall. Their booth had leather journals of all sizes and shapes printed with different quotes and graphics. Of course, I was drawn to the one that had a stamp of a compass and said, "Not all who wander are lost." They even hand stamped the spine with the initials WW to customize it for me.

They are also fairly local and happen to be located down the mountain in Asheville, NC—one of our favorite western NC cities! I also really appreciate how affordable their journals are.

3. Burt's Bees Head to Toe Kit

I didn't discover the Burt's Bees brand until I moved to the mountains of NC in 2005, but once I did the products became a staple in my care kit and have been ever since. This "Head to Toe Kit" has a little bit of everything but my favorite product is by far the beeswax lip balm! I carry a tube of this with me everywhere I go and it gets used daily. The hand salve is another product I love that will also come in handy this winter when dry hands become a challenge. Also included in the kit is Deep Cleansing Cream, Milk & Honey Body Lotion, Coconut Foot Cream, and Peppermint and Rosemary Body Wash. I keep a few of these items in my toiletry bag when I travel because they are the perfect size!

4. National Geographic Guide to Scenic Highways & Byways

We have one of these guides and it's a great way to pick your next road trip destination! This book shows you all of the best drives all over the United States and has lots of gorgeous landscape images that Nat Geo is known for. I like how it pinpoints activities you might want to check out along the way. I'm such a sucker for handy guidebooks with beautiful photos!
