The world needs dreamers and the world needs doers. But above all, the world needs dreamers who do.

WOW! I am blown away by the wonderful comments and insights shared based on my last post. Those conflicted feelings are beginning to dissipate, and it is largely due to the tremendous amount of support you all have shown. I truly am grateful, and I feel so lucky to have folks like you to share my thoughts, hopes, and dreams with. THANK YOU!
A couple weekends ago Cody and I went to South Mountain State Park, that's where the above photo was taken. I have more to share from that day, and hopefully I will go through them tonight and have them to post tomorrow. I've fallen a little behind, but hope to be caught up before we leave next week, since I know I'll be coming home with like 1,000 photos from California!! Check out the {366} Photographic Journal Blog to see a couple more photos I posted last night. The fire one is pretty cool!! Yeah, I said fire.....check it out. (Link on the right)

Glad you are back in good spirits! That photo is awesome. I can't even begin to know how you do what you do.

ReplyDeleteHow is the countdown to California going? You must be bouncing off the waaaalls! w00t!! Can't wait for the ocean photos... mmm. ocean.
so, so beautiful... i don't know if it's my canadian heritage or what, but i don't think anything is as beautiful as a woods+moss scene.
ReplyDeleteagain, gorgeous photographs!
Your photograph is so dreamy... I can just imagine wandering through the undergrowth... The colours are simply stunning!
ReplyDeleteI am truly jealous about your trip to California (are you sure you can't squeeze me in your suitcase?...lol!)
how many greens in this pic.how do you do what you do .it's your eye you can take those things that many people just dismiss.the light and focus, putting together the photos.looking to see what is in front of you. it could be a chair or a bug on a wall, rain running down the side of a car.you do see things that others don't.go all the way.T.N.T
ReplyDeleteJessica take a look at Wired.com Photo Contest Macro. T.T.F.N
ReplyDelete1218: Me too! Thank you :) I do what I do....haha.....it's easier than it looks.
ReplyDeleteTD: *blushing* I can't even begin to tell you.....I'm reeling!! I can't wait for them either :o)
a little bird: thank you, and I agree with you wholeheartedly.
getty: Thank you....I also thought that it looked sort of dreamy too :) haha Hopefully I'll bring back some photos that make you feel like you're there!
POD: You're right, although it's not that I "see" things that others don't, it's just how I view those scenes differently, you know?! Things don't always translate the same way.
And thanks for the tip on wired.
That is a cool fire picture. Looks like one of those fire fighting rooms where we used to practice fighting fires.
